Create a project


Go to

Click Create a project and name your project whatever you'd like.
On the Dashboard tab, click Enable APIs and Services and enable YouTube Data API v3.

Create your API key
Go to the Credentials tab.
Click Create credentials then click API Key.
Copy the created API key into the text field below (after you've clicked Unlock text fields).

Create your Client ID and Client Secret
Click Create credentials again and select OAuth Client ID.
Click Configure consent screen.
Select External as your user type and click Create
Type any name you like into the Application name field, then scroll down and click Save. Enter your email address into the fields that ask for it. Other fields can be left blank.
You can click Save and continue on the screens that come after, until your consent screen is created
After your consent screen is created, click Publish app to enable signing into the app.
Go back to the Credentials tab and click Create credentials and OAuth Client ID again.
Select Desktop app or Other as your Application type then click Create.
Copy the created Client ID and Client Secret into the text fields below (after you've clicked Unlock text fields)
Once you've entered your API credentials, click Confirm and restart below to save your credentials.

your OAUth content screen, when trying to sign into your Google account it will say that the app is unverified. You can click Advanced to continue
